Myths about aluminum can pull tabs. A number of myths have developed about pull tabs, but as Barbara Mikkelson, as part of the Urban Legends Wooden Spoons web site, has discovered most of them are false. These include claims that the pull tabs are made out of a different, more valuable material, and that the tabs will buy time on kidney dialysis machines.
